On Thursday the sun was shining, Daniel was at nursery so the older two and I went on a group nature walk with some friends. There was mud, sheep, some poo 💩, wild garlic foraging, stick wands, the actual stick man, laughter, nettle stings, a scraped knee, running aeroplanes, all finished off with a dose of picnic and playground. Perfect memory making. Here it is in pictures. For my recipes for the wild garlic, click here.

Getting close to nature and their wonderful aromas!

The forest floor was carpeted with wild garlic, you could smell it everywhere

A close up of the wild garlic, such a vibrant green, no photo filters used!

Mud, glorius mud

If you look closely, you’ll see stick man leaning against the fence

The lure of the playground and picnic at the end, pure freedom!

I was out walking the other week and loved the smell of wild garlic. It seems to have come a little early this year, but I always take a bit home with me. Sounds like a brilliant outing and such fun xxx

April 4, 2016 at 7:51 pmWe used to love walks that revolved around a pub! Nowadays it’s a little different, the older two are now at a stage where we can go for a half decent ramble together x
