10 Unique Wooden Christmas Decorations to Melt your Heart

I love Christmas, I may have mentioned this before – but who doesn’t love it? The nostalgia, the warm fuzzy feelings and the chance to decorate your home with sparkly bits and lights. I’m always a bit depressed when all the twinkly lights come off the houses in January, plunging us back into gloom again. Couldn’t we have an extension this year? Anyway, I’m really looking forward to it, I love getting all the decorations out, re-discovering old treasures, family traditions and adding to the collection of Christmas paraphernalia. This post is focusing on those achingly gorgeous traditional wooden decorations that stand the test of time and always look good no matter what colour scheme or theme you go for. We have a few like this and they always melt my heart, reminding me of Christmases past and stories like The Nutcracker. My ‘theme’ is usually – put everything up and then add sparkle. One year I might have a carefully chosen and themed decorating plan, but whilst the children are young, badly made decorations and tinsel with frozen characters on it play a massive role!

I’ve been looking at different wooden decorations, from small pieces for the tree to larger statement pieces for the home.
