I’ve been whittling down my clothes so that I have more of a capsule wardrobe rather than lots of things I hardly wear. I still need to be strong and get rid of the hacking jacket I haven’t worn since 1997 but I’m holding out for when I get to horse ride again and go to a gymkhana…. Apart from that I’m doing well. All the clothes in my wardrobe fit me and I wear them all. I wanted some key pieces for autumn and winter this year, I’ve got a statement coat coming that will be for the school run and trips out, and I already have my big winter coat for standing around in the cold.
I’m working with Fashion World, the online clothing and home store. I’d vaguely heard of them before but I was pleased to take a virtual look around. One thing I really liked was the bundles offers that gave me inspiration. Just click on the ‘Amazing bundles’ and then you get the choice of categories. The women’s clothing section had some great outfit inspiration on a budget. From there I got a gorgeous teal coloured V neck jumper which is so comfy and already one of my faves for this season. I teamed it with some black boot cut trousers. The whole outfit can be dressed for a smart work situation with a shirt underneath, some ankle boots or heels, or it can be casual with trainers or pumps and a scarf. The jumper comes in different colourways too. I would say the V neck jumper is a must have this season, plus it’s only £14.
Next I wanted some long sleeved tops that would be flattering, I went with a two pack of long sleeved long length tops, one is black and one is red leopard print. The longer length means they keep me warm and can be worn with leggings as well as other trousers and skirts.
Now I’m an introvert, a work at home mum, a mum and a home body so I practically live in pyjamas! I will always say yes to pyjamas and slippers. I have some really warm boot slippers but sometimes they’re too hot so I got some mule slippers. The pyjamas I got came up slightly large but I like a loose fit. They are, you guessed it, red leopard print bottoms and a black t shirt top with ‘Fierce’ written in red. I’m not that fierce when I’m having a cup of tea on the sofa but I feel it when I wear them. I posed this question on Instagram, ‘Can you have too much leopard print?’ The answer is no, never.

Fashion world are definitely in my bookmarks now and I’ll be browsing their Christmas and home range too. The Black Friday discounts start on 23rd November so keep an eye out for them. They have lots of different labels apart from their own brand including Simply Be, Monsoon, Adidas, Pink Clove, Clarks and loads more. What’s in your autumn winter capsule wardrobe?
