Can you have comfort and style? So often you have to make a choice – high heels or flats? Squeeze me in underwear or comfy granny pants? Scratchy lace and sequins or soft cotton? As I get older I am more often choosing comfort over style but I try and have both wherever possible. If you buy good quality materials and the right sizes, you shouldn’t have to forgo style for comfort.
The same applies to your choice of chair. If you’re working at a desk all day, either at home or in the office, you want to be comfortable and supported. Why not make a style statement at the same time? I’ve had such fun looking at these funky chairs and creating a mood board. I think wheels are very important obviously, because why get up when you can wheel yourself backwards and forwards? And the children love being spun round in a chair, free rides! Why stick to black, I like to fill my world with colour and it’s well known for lifting and changing your mood.
I just love a funky print, so I chose the cow print chair, what a statement piece that would be! It may be a cliche but I do love pink so it’s no surprise I have two pink chairs on my ultimate office chair wish list. The red one is reminiscent of a bond film, I have a black fluffy cat, does that count? I think I’d spend ages spinning round saying “Mwah-ha-ha, I expect you to die!” and not do much work. Furniture at work should be comfortable, with a high back for me, no gym balls, bean bags or reverse chairs here. Although, having said that, have you seen this giant fluffy beanbag? I may make an exception here, if I had a big room I’d so have this.
