Easy Halloween Marshmallow Ghost Pops

A really quick and easy yet impressive Halloween treat to put together to scare your trick or treaters this year and be the talk of the neighbourhood

Here’s a really quick, easy yet impressive recipe (in the loosest sense of the word) for little hands this Halloween.  They are slightly reminiscent of Pacman but will more than suffice for Halloween.  They’ve been road tested by my two sweet lovers and they survived, or rather didn’t as they didn’t last long!  I’ll be making some more when the trick or treaters come knocking!

What you need:

Large white marshmallows

Lollipop sticks

Icing sugar and water

Scissors

Cocktail stick

Googly icing eyes (buy online or from cake shops or larger supermarkets)

Step 1

Take one Marshmallow, turn it so that the rounded edges are at the top and bottom (so it’s length-ways)

Step 2

Cut two triangle notches at the bottom end to form the ghost’s raggedy sheet

Step 3

Make some edible ‘glue’ by mixing a tablespoon of icing sugar with a few drops of water to form a paste, adding more water as needed

Step 4

Gently un-stick the eyes you need from the backing paper (always buy slightly more than you need in case they break), apply some of your edible glue and stick on to the marshmallow

Step 5

Stick the Ghost on to the lollipop stick et Voila!  Impressive (hopefully) and definitely easy Halloween Ghost marshmallow pops!

For an added touch, use an edible pen to add expressions and features to the ghosts and stick them into a scary pumpkin! Happy Halloween,
