Everywhere you look on the internet women are shouting about female empowerment, which is great! I feel super confident about myself, my body and my health. I am not embarrassed about seeing a health professional about anything at all with my body or my sexual health. It helps that I’m a nurse, obviously. But it’s not the same for men. I think they are getting slightly better, but it’s been shown time and time again that men are less likely to seek help from a Doctor or go see the doctor than women. This could be due to embarrassment, or that they feel they need to be the strong, tough one or perhaps they don’t want to be told there’s a problem. They would rather bury their head in the sand. Sound familiar?
This also applies to their sexual health. As men get older, their risk of impotence increases, but they are less likely to get help for it. It could be something easily remedied, or a sign of something more serious. It could also be treated with some simple medication like Tadalafil.
If you’re wondering about the difference between Tadalafil and Viagara, Tadalafil lasts longer than Viagara. You can get the medication online with a consultation or your own prescription from an online pharmacy.
Why men get impotence
There are different reasons a man might experience impotence. It can be a temporary situation for example over a few times or it can be more permanent. It can then become a psychological block and men will avoid situations where they are required to ‘perform.’ Factors which could lead to impotence include:
- Stress
- Alcohol
- Drugs (illegal and prescription)
- Smoking
- High blood pressure
- Enlarged prostate
It could be that you can get an erection but fail to maintain it. Speak to your Doctor or sexual health clinic where you are, for example the ED Clinic North Plano to get the right treatment for your particular issue.
Other treatments for erectile dysfunction
If you’re not keen on medication, you can try counselling to see if it can be helped by talking therapy. Take the heat of you by talking to your partner, and being affectionate and loving in different ways (massage, cuddling, getting her off but no pressure on you). You could also try a penile pump, which encourages blood flow to the penis. Your first port of call should always be to talk to your doctor or sexual health clinic. They can review your lifestyle and medication and rule out any blood flow problems or endocrine issues.
Most women won’t worry about erectile dysfunction, but they care about you and want you to be your best and healthiest self.
