#Nodulldays with Bassetts children’s vitamins

Winter really feels like it’s here now, there was frost on the ground and the ice scrapers came out today! There’s a faint sound of jingle bells in the distance, and the predominant colours in the air are white, red, green and gold. Winter brings joy but the weather brings less sun, we’re inside more and therefore lower on vitamin D.

The Department of Health experts now recommend that during autumn and winter everyone should consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms (10µg) of Vitamin D to protect bone and muscle health. Vitamin D and Calcium both help to support healthy muscle function, healthy teeth and healthy bones – in fact, Vitamin D and Calcium are both necessary for normal bone growth and development in children. Bassetts Vitamins are helping to support family life with more colour, we’ve been tasting their soft and chewy vitamins for 3-6 year olds with added calcium and vitamin D. The idea is with their health supported, the whole family can concentrate on enjoying every single moment together, and #nodulldays. Do you feel like opportunities for family fun and adventure are limited in winter? We don’t! We still love getting out and about, we plonk on wellies and splash suits and off we go. The woods are our favourite, and last night on Fireworks night we had a winter barbecue, the kids loved it and were running up and down the garden playing- a string of fairy lights outside kept the magic going.

What we thought of Bassetts soft and chewy multivitamins + Vitamin D and Calcium

The classic Bassetts character is present on the bright orange packaging. It’s designed for children and the flavour is Peach and Apricot, made with natural flavours and colours, and no added sugar. The only problem we have with them is that they taste too nice! At first they were like, ‘OOOhhh, sweeties!’ which I was quick to correct, they are medicines, and we only have one a day. The older two get it now (8 and 6), but my 2 year old I wouldn’t trust with them for a second, so I keep them well out of reach and dish out the required one a day.

The pastilles have little Bassett faces on and are a light orange colour. They come in blister packets to keep the individual pastilles fresh. The children have no problem eating them! The RRP is £5.50 for pack of 30 pastilles, and you can get them in supermarkets and pharmacies.

It’s great to find something like this that the kids will actually eat isn’t it? 🙂
