It’s healthy to look your best because when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you look good. That said, ‘looking your best is up for debate. Of course, being in good shape, caring for your skin, and getting the right nutrition and sleep will objectively make you look much better than if you had failed to achieve any of this.
That said, the style you wear and what makes you happy is not necessarily always so easy to define, because what makes you ‘look your best,’ in your mind might not mean you look the same as the conventionally attractive people you see in magazines or in movies.
Thankfully, you don’t have to think so deeply into this that you write a dissertation about fashion before you feel you can enjoy wearing nice clothes. For this reason, we hope to discuss how to achieve your best look without neuroticism, instead letting you dare to enjoy the process through and through. And we’ll achieve that by encouraging you to:
Being Grateful
You’d be surprised how being grateful and appreciative can help you look more friendly, and more than that, it can help you make the most out of what you have, rather than thinking you need the absolute best of everything to do with fashion and beauty to look good. For instance, it might be that putting together an outfit by learning a few seamstress skills and fitting a piece of clothing for wear today, rather than ordering a perfectly costly replacement, could help you define your own style with confidence. Furthermore, people who are grateful are generally more genial and interesting to be around. This improves your magnetism by a huge margin, which helps you look good and feel better.
Trying New Style
Trying a new style is important from time to time, especially if this gives you a sense of personal development and more readily helps reflect who you are today. But it’s not just clothes that can be changed or hair that can be dyed to achieve this. For instance, porcelain veneers are durable and strong and can help restore your natural smile back to how it should be. You might find a tattoo that helps represent your story thus far could be a worthwhile option, or a new piercing can help you feel a little cooler. Don’t be afraid to try new things in this way – it all has a profound effect.
Being Unapologetic
Being unapologetic about who you are is almost always a good thing, provided you know you’re a healthy, good person and you have your moral compass in the right place. Being unapologetic simply means feeling unafraid to be you. We’re seeing this more and more in public figures who aren’t afraid to dress in the opposite gender’s clothing, for instance, or women who get older and may wish for their first tattoo after a lifetime of thinking it wasn’t ‘for them.’ Don’t be afraid to express yourself, because what should you be afraid of?
With this advice, we hope you can look your best without feeling out of touch with who you are.
