Hello fellow tired parents. I don’t think the tiredness ever goes away, even when they’re ‘sleeping through,’ the worries keep coming and you’re always on alert. You just get used to less sleep! Actually I still haven’t…
Today I’m showing you something that claims to help with bedtime and sleeping: a new type of baby monitor and night light combined. It’s made by a company called Bleep Bleeps, who make smart gadgets for today’s parent. We’re looking today at Suzy snooze. I like the fact that they use a warm orange light instead of white or blue light, which is said to aid sleep rather than hinder it.
Suzy is paired with an app on your phone, where you can set the time you want Suzy to ‘wake up,’ which means Suzy will gradually light up and her hat raises when it’s time to get up. You can also set it to baby monitor mode. This means you can hear what’s happening in the room Suzy is in. You can also listen in wherever you are, as long as you have the app and Wi-Fi/data. Perfect if you’re feeling anxious about leaving your baby but you want a date night. Another great feature is that you can set it to come on if the baby cries. You can also control when to put the music on and for how long, the volume and brightness. The Suzy unit plugs in via a USB cord attached to a plug which adapts to a European and US plug if needed. Here’s a picture of Suzy in action in Phoebe and Daniel’s room. They love the little face and the soothing glow and music she gives. The bottom half is made of soft felt. To operate Suzy and put the music and light on, you press down on the top. To stop, you can do it via the app or press and release. Suzy retails at £99, it’s currently available on Amazon for £40. The app is free.
We’re offering one lucky winner their own Suzy Snooze to win, enter via the rafflecopter widget below. UK entry only. My question to you is, what’s your favourite lullaby to play to the children?
