Fostering

So many children are desperate for homes, ending up in the fostering system through no fault of their own. Becoming a foster parent can help give children a supportive, stable environment, bringing many happy memories to families. While fostering can be temporary, it can also lead to longer-term arrangements or adoption, providing a lifeline for many children.

Being a great auntie, uncle or godparent

Even if you don’t have children of your own, they can still be a part of your life. Your nieces and nephews, godchildren and your friends’ children can give you the chance to surround yourself with kids, and be a supportive role model to them throughout their lives. Make them a part of your world and enjoy all the joy they can bring to it.

Helping out in your community

Helping out in the community is another way to provide care and support to children and young people. From volunteering with children’s charities to supporting local sports teams, you can find different ways to help out in your community that will help you give back and develop some amazing relationships too. Some kids lack proper parental support and guidance, so the services they use can be a lifeline, helping them find other people they can look up to and learn from.
