If you know the pain of stepping on lego,  then you might be interested in this!   We started our lego collection a couple of years ago and have amassed a fair amount.   We currently store them in a box, I’ve been sent this new lego storage system to try out.   It’s called Blokpod and it’s lego storage with a twist – literally!

This colourful cylinder has different colour coded sections that sort your lego pieces out according to size.   You can also twist off each part individually to organise your epic building project!

What we thought of Blokpod

It’s quite large,  but then I don’t think it could be any smaller,  especially if you have a large collection.  I love the bright colours and the see through sides so you can see the sorting in action, it makes a fun addition to our playroom.   My children loved finding lego to put in and sort which meant they actually wanted to help tidy – yay!  It was a bit difficult to twist off the sections but this improved the more you did it.   It depends how much lego and what different size parts you have as to how much you can fit in it.

It’s good to see that all the little people would go to one layer, all the teeny tiny parts you can never find will go to another!  My 6 year old son likes the lego characters and computer games but he’s not too fussed about building – he does a bit, but when it comes to the kits, it’s muggins here who ends up doing it and I just get annoyed with it and it feels like work to me!

How much does a Blokpod cost?

The price is currently £34.99 if you register to their website,  which in my opinion is quite pricey (they say it’s going up soon too, so grab it now if you want one,  don’t wait), but it’s very sturdy and it should last as long as you need it for plus it’s unique.

The only drawback I found was that I had to find somewhere else to store the instructions I wanted to keep!  William and I made a video of us using the Blokpod and showing it’s unique features,  I hope you like it – it’s his first time doing a video and we couldn’t stop laughing!
