Getting ready for Christmas: My first themed Christmas Tree!

Getting ready for Christmas: My first themed Christmas Tree!

I’ve always been a traditionalist at Christmas and this year is no exception. I love the classic colours, there’ll be no monochrome tree and decorations here. What I’ve been hankering after for a few years though is a themed colour coordinated Christmas Tree. I love the rose gold trend and I wanted rose gold decorations. I am now a proud ambassador for B & M stores, a popular discount store in the UK. They invited me to go to my local store and pick out some Christmas decorations which I loved! I was so happy in the store choosing colours, decorations and more. There were more than enough choices and it was very good value, enabling me to get a fair amount for the vouchers I had. Here’s the finished tree, and below you can see what we used to decorate it and the other bits we got from our B & M stores haul.

Don’t be fooled by the wrapped presents into thinking I’m super organised, I’m not! I have wrapped about 3 presents and that’s it. I bought two packets of rose gold baubles, 3 lots of 2m tinsel (only £1 each), a set of 12 luxury crackers, some kids crackers and a new Christmas tablecloth to carry through the gold theme to the table. I’m so pleased with how it turned out, we did use a few extra decorations from our stash, and I added in some gold beads that I already had. We also bought some frosty pine cones and scattered them in the tree and the rest went into a glass vase for my Christmas hallway display. Here are the details of what we got and what B & M have in store.

  5. Luxury crackers 10 pack navy and gold £4.99

Have you gone for a theme this year or is it a case of put it all on and that’s the theme?

I also have been quite religious at putting up Christmas trees annually in my house. This post provided me a wonderful insight into making it a themed christmas tree. The pics are wonderful. Thanks!
