I’m writing this gift guide because Dads of all ages are just so hard to buy for. They tend to not want very much, and the things they do want are big things that are out of most people’s budget. My husband and my Dad fall into these categories, so I got some help from them when I was writing this guide. Remember to take advantage of any Black Friday deals going on, but only for gifts or items you already have on your list to avoid overspending or getting into debt.

The image-conscious dad may like the latest on-trend scent. You could go with a classic like Dior Sauvage, Calvin Klein, or Davidoff, or explore something new for them like Versace Eros. Men don’t always experiment themselves, so this is the time to get the one that you want them to wear! I like to go around the shops and sniff-test them all and pick my favourite.

The Dad who is into cooking, like my husband, may like some new cooking equipment for the kitchen or a new gadget. We love these colour-coded chopping boards from Joseph Joseph that are practical for the kitchen and also look good on the worktop. There are four in total, they are easy to use and look great. Me, I love that they are so lightweight and practical to use as I have a weakness in my right arm, much easier than a wooden block.

For the Dad who has a sense of adventure, gift them an experience day. If you know their calendar, book it for them so it’s already in place. There are so many to choose from, there are things like car racing, balloon ride, parachute jumps, fishing day, golf, and more. If your dad chooses to go for golf play, then it will be best to gift him quality golf bag accessories for much better and more productive play. Like us they crave some me time and escapism away from the madness, so even a homemade voucher for them to have a day away would be gratefully received.

For the sporty Dad, I mean it depends on which sport, of course, you could gift them some tickets to see their team play, a TV subscription to watch the premium matches or some gym shirts for men for their sport. I’m including fishing in this category too. My Dad is a runner and he always needs some sort of running or gym equipment.
There are so many subscription boxes available now in almost any category, gift them a year’s subscription to a magazine they like, or a monthly beer box for example.
For the music-loving Dad, how about an Amazon music unlimited subscription? I personally love mine, and we have it so that I can be dancing away in the kitchen to my playlist and my husband can be in the Gym listening to his playlist at the same time. If I hear a song I like or remember an old classic, I just add it to my playlist. It’s really been a lifesaver this past year. Other music-inspired gifts are headphones, particularly wireless ones, gig tickets, and albums on vinyl.
