We were lucky enough to go to Portugal for half term and it was a great excuse for dressing up and going out, whilst still being in stumbling distance of our hotel room. I was able to choose some pieces from Femme Luxe to review and keep. I chose two glam outfits and one cosy item for snuggling up by the fire when back in the UK.
Wine slinky ballon sleeve bardot mini dress
This is the dress to wear if you want to show off your legs! It’s cheeky and short. The ruched detail means if you’re feeling a bit self-conscious about your mum-tum it’s all good. I got a size 16 and it was true to size. It’s stretchy though so you can go a size down and it would still fit. It was perfect on holiday with the all you can eat buffet. If your boobs are heading south like mine then you need a good strapless bra to go with it as it is quite low cut. I wore a corset with it and it looked great. If you want you can wear some thicker tights with it for more confidence or when it’s cold out.
White Bardot Cowl Neck Ruched Midi Dress
The other ‘going out’ dress I chose is this white midi dress number, I feel very Marilyn Munroe in it and ready for anything. It is lovely to wear for an evening out or that special occasion. It’s long but very form fitting and with a lot of that ruche detail that hides a multitude of sins but yet shows off your curves. The drop sleeves add to the grecian goddess look. It’s stretchy material so feels very comfy and easy to get on and off.
Pink Check Print Oversized Button Up Pocket Shacket
After the night out when you’re ready to cosy up again, or perhaps just for the school run, I absolutely love this pink check ‘shacket.’ In case you haven’t heard of it, a shacket is a ‘shirt jacket.’ Well, now you know and you have to get one, they are so comfy.
Which is your favourite item? The white dress makes me feel amazing when I wear it out and the shacket is so comfy.
