Lalaloopsy on Netflix and new toys review

With Phoebe’s birthday having come and gone, she’s still wading through her new toys and crafts. With the Easter holidays and the lovely weather we’ve had there have been lots of picnics and days out. She’s only just getting round to opening some of the new things. I’d almost forgotten about the little Lalaloopsy doll set we received. It’s to coincide with the new Netflix original series – We’re Lalaloopsy! Available to stream now, the animated series features all-new original music that brings to life the popular Lalaloopsy line of dolls. You can watch the new season trailer here.

The 13 double episodes are 22 minutes long, and they follow the incredible misadventures of six creative friends and their silly pets as they navigate a uniquely extraordinary world.  By celebrating the magic of creativity & their individual talents, these friends can weather anything so long as they work together, so the message is team work.

The six characters are Jewel Sparkles, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Spot Splatter Splash, Rosy Bumps ‘N’ Bruises and Dot Starlight, plus new character Storm E. Sky. The concept is that they are sewn from wisps of a rain cloud, Storm E. Sky is a bit of a rebel and sometimes a little misunderstood, but loves to practice guitar and rock out with friends. There is a character to suit everyone. We took a look at the doll set for Peanut big top.

She comes with a colour changing ballgown, changes of clothes and shoes, and 2 wigs. She’s only tiny, so there are small parts (like the shoes) that can get lost easily, but it’s a nice little play set if they’re fans of the doll. If they have more than one set they can mix and match styles. It’s very cute and the outfits come on and off easily. They’re available in most toy retailers, like the Entertainer or Amazon. The Entertainer have the same set we reviewed on offer currently for £4, normally £5. They’re great pocket money gifts or good to keep for birthday parties.
