They’re sparkly, magical and luminescent. Traditionally just pulled out at Christmas, but why not utilise them all year round with these great ideas and inspiration for using your fairy lights.
Ad – I am working with Koopower and their battery operated fairy lights, which can be used indoor or outdoors. They are sturdy and reliable, perfect for these ideas and projects for your fairy lights. The best thing is they come with a timer, and loads of different settings, so you can set it and forget it.
1. Create a bed canopy with lights
2. Decorate your outdoor shrubs or trees

3. Fill a decorative jar or bottle
It’s like fairies in a bottle, we love ours.
4. Glam up your tent
Thread your lights around the tent entrance, they look good and you can find it in the dark!
5. Make a seasonal Wreath
Thread lights around your seasonal wreath – they’re not just for Christmas anymore.
6. Place around your mirror
Get some extra light for your make up, string them around your mirror.
7. Make a statement photograph wall
Print your gorgeous photos out! You can get ready made lights and clips like the one below, or make your own from fairy lights and small pegs.

8. Light up your gazebo
String your lights above you in your garden for that festival feeling
9. Make a ‘Campfire’
Make a fake fire for the kids when they have a sleepover, and light up with fairy lights. It’s very effective, mine love it.

10. Light up your Teepee
Get a simple teepee and place over their bed or a toy tent, and string with fairy lights.
11. Jazz up your photography
Use fairy lights in your photographs, play with perspective. The closer to the camera the more blurry they will be, and also further away. Have a go and see what different focus options you can achieve.
