I thought it was time I introduced our furriest members of our household, our two cats Monty and Lily.

They are brother and sister and we got them from a rescue centre called Rescued Animals In Need (RAIN).  They have long hair and look similar but couldn’t be more different!  Lily is shy and spends a lot of time outdoors, giving her a long shaggy black and white coat, we mainly just see her at mealtimes before she scuttles away again.  Monty is the black one and the dominant one – he stays indoors most of the time so his coat is thinner, he’s very sociable and doesn’t like being on his own.  When we come home from work or a day out, he’s often there on the step waiting for us.

He is predominantly driven by his stomach of course, so when we were asked to review some cat food from Petshop.co.uk I asked him and  – he said nothing, he’s a cat… but I said yes please!  It’s great to see an online pet shop, they deliver to your door, perfect for those heavy items and if you stock up and order £19.99 or more you get free delivery.  They have everything you could ever imagine for any sort of pet plus they have a scheme called Bottomless bowl, where you can set the frequency of re-ordering and they automatically re-deliver – great when you  an barely keep up with life, like me, and we often run out of dry or wet cat food and they’re left pining until we get to the shops!  My delivery arrived promptly and just in time, we’d run out of dry food and they were starting to get twitchy.  My cats like a diet of wet and dry food and don’t like being presented with just one type.  The trouble at the moment is that Baby Daniel likes to tip out the dry food and sprinkle it around so we either put it up high or wait ’til he’s asleep.  Monty and Lily are not too happy about this.

This Purina cat food 3kg will keep us going for a while and it’s saved me any lugging about.  The cats are keen on it too and the bag is easily opened at the top corner plus I can re-seal it.

We also got these premium pouches by Almo which were a real treat and didn’t last long – Lily barely got a look in.  We normally buy tins of the cheapest variety so I think they thought it was Christmas again!

The food almost looked like human food although definitely smelt like cat food!  Lastly we got a packet of cat treats which I know about already called Dreamies – the reason I know this is because we have an elderly neighbour who is fond of our Monty and she likes to give him his Dreamies of a morning, I hear her calling for him and I know it gives her pleasure and a bit of company in a way so I don’t mind at all.  I’ve been giving them a few Dreamies when they’re together and Lily in particular loves them.  I think I’ll be investing in a few packs for treats.

I like the DJ cat on the front of the packet!  What’s your cat’s favourite treats?  Would you consider buying online for their food exclusively?  What do you think of the bottomless bowl service?

They’re cute! I have a black cat too! Funnily enough I have never thought of having cat food & litter delivered, but it does make sense as always bulky and convenient. I like the purina food (I mean not me personally – I only feed it to the cat, but I like it for her!) #showandtell

This is a great idea! I don’t have cats, but I do have dogs and their food is even bulkier. It would be so convenient to get it delivered to my door! Unfortunately I don’t think they would deliver all the way to Mexico! #showandtell

I do not have a cat, I am totally a dog person but some days back, I saw a similar cat, totally black with shining yellow eyes perched up on my boundary wall. We looked at each other for a good 10 – 15 seconds, there was something very mysterious and scary about that cat and then she jumped away to the neighbor’s house.
