All Natural: 4 Areas Where the Natural Way Is the Better Way

If you have ever been bitten by a snake or been stung by a bee, you know that just because something is natural doesn’t make it preferable or good. Everyone loves to watch a lion versus gazelle chase on the Discovery Channel. No one finds it amusing when they are the gazelle. Water is the most natural thing on earth. You know what can be found in your drinking water? Arsenic, that’s what. By the way, arsenic is perfectly natural. It is also quite harmless in small doses. Tobacco is natural. But I don’t recommend smoking it. I could go on in this way for a long time. But I think you get the idea.

You want to be in harmony with nature. But it can sometimes be hard to know when the natural route is the better way to go. Paper doesn’t exactly grow on trees. And yet it literally is a product made from trees. So is it good to use it or is it harmful? In some ways, everything we do is natural because our ingenuity is produced by nature. And we remix the tools of nature to enhance our lives. But there are times when going ALL natural is better. It can be difficult to know when. Here are 4 examples of when going all natural is the better choice:

1. Toilet Paper

Forget about flying cars. Can we just make a breakthrough in toilet paper? Face it: good toilet paper is also expensive and not nearly as good as it could be. Bad toilet paper is a crime against humanity. Fortunately, the wizards who produce bamboo toilet paper seem to have cracked the code by going back to nature for a better result.

Besides being all natural and better for forest preservation, bamboo is known to be softer. This particular company also produces it in 3-ply rather than 2-ply which also makes it stronger. If you love it, you can do a customizable subscription service so that you have fewer empty roll moments. Awkward! In that classic game of rock, paper, bamboo, always go with bamboo, at least for your toilet paper.

2. Dryer Balls

If you are like almost every other person who uses a dryer rather than a clothesline to dry your clothes, you have used dryer sheets and wondered for the thousandth time if there might be something better out there. The only reason you are still wondering about it is that you haven’t tried wool dryer balls yet. This 100% New Zealand Wool product is all natural and free of chemicals. They are also good for up to 1,000 cycles. Additionally, they reduce the drying time while softening and removing static from your clothes. This is just another small way that nature wins big.

3. Natural Labor

There are times when labor must be induced. But before that time comes, natural labor is better. So be sure to look into some natural ways to kickstart labor. Just know that all advice for naturally inducing labor is suspect and subject to being wrong. That said, if heartburn is not a big problem for you, eating spicy food could be fun. For some people, it actually seems to work. Sex is also another method that could be fun. It is a popular suggestion. We offer no guarantees, warranties, or refunds for this advice. Be sure to consult your midwife or doctor. What works for someone else might not work for you.

4. Exercise

Running on a treadmill is still running. But the more natural exercise is to leave your house and tour your neighborhood park by running outside. Running in front of a fan is not the same as getting some fresh air. Many people who claim to love rowing have never been on a boat. What they love is the simulated exercise. If you really want to get the full benefit of rowing, rent a canoe and row, row, row your boat.

Natural is not always better. Just ask anyone who has tried durian fruit. The nature imp that invented that had rather questionable judgement. However, toilet paper, dryer balls, labor, and exercise are a few areas where nature really shines. When given the option, all-natural is usually the better way to go.
