I’ve teamed up with the lovely Zita West again to offer you an amazing giveaway and introduce you to Baba West, which focuses on you guessed it, the babies. I’ve handpicked the three products for this giveaway and they are really lovely. They would make a really great gift for a new Mum and baby or as a treat for your baby. So, let me introduce the products from the giveaway to you. If you don’t know who Zita West is, take a look at my post on her and her products here.
Lyonsleaf zinc and calendula cream
OK, so there are no actual Lions or their leaves in the cream, but the packaging has a rather elegant Lion bursting through it and it implies strength and protection for our beautiful babies. Zinc and calendula have long been used for baby creams, the calendula is soothing and calming for sore skin, and the zinc provides protection. Like with all their products they are made and produced here in the UK. You get 120ml of cream and you can use it on bottoms or anywhere there are sore bits or potential sore bits. In the cold, their faces can get really sore so it’s a good idea to use a preventative cream. I love the packaging, it’s really cute and totally plastic-free, and recyclable.

Bifakalm infant multibiotic relief drops 0-12 months
Our understanding of colic and gut health has changed so much since I did my training and had babies myself. Colic treatments used to be just pain relief or indigestion remedies essentially. We are starting to understand so much more about the role of the importance of supporting gut health right from birth, as a baby’s biome is important for future health and immunity. The human microbiome is established at birth and by the age of three the composition is complete, so giving your baby friendly bacteria from birth can support their gut microbiome which can help their digestion, immunity, mood, wellbeing, and even skin health.

Baba West Bifikalm is a natural dietary supplement that has been specifically formulated for infants straight from birth. Each bottle contains two strains of friendly bacteria – Pediococcus pentosaceus CECT 8330 and Bifidobacterium longum CECT 7894 – both have been clinically proven to be safe and are naturally present in a healthy infant’s gut microbiome.
The good news is it can be given straight from birth and to both bottle and breast-fed babies. It comes with a useful dropper application and is suitable for both vegan and gluten-free diets. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated either, so it’s perfect for keeping in the changing bag.

Infant vitamin D drops 0-3 years
The Department of Health and NHS recommends that breastfed babies from birth to 1 year of age should be given a daily supplement containing 8.5 to 10 micrograms (400iu) of Vitamin D to make sure they get enough, whether or not their mother is taking a Vitamin D supplement. Formula-fed babies should not be given a Vitamin D supplement until they’re having less than 500ml (about a pint) of infant formula a day, as infant formula is fortified with vitamin D. Children aged 1 to 4 years old should be given a daily supplement containing 10µg of vitamin D.

With the Baba West infant vitamin D drops you get a 3 month supply which is developed especially for babies. It comes in simple, convenient, easy-to-use drops with no nasties – safe even for young babies. They are sugar-free with no artificial colours, flavourings or additives. One drop provides a daily dose of 400iu (10μg). Vitamin D supports the development of your baby’s bones, teeth, muscles, and healthy immune function.
