It’s week 4 of the school holidays and I’m gathering supplies for the new term like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter. I’ve always loved new school supplies, and September-January is my favourite time of year. I can’t wait til Phoebe and I can go pencil case shopping together! School shoes are difficult, because you want something durable and comfortable. I was so pleased when Startrite got in touch because their reputation for quality and durability is up there with the best. It’s a brand I feel confident in trusting with something so important as shoes. When the kids have to wear the same school shoes day in day out it’s so important to make the right choice. We had a choice of three, and Phoebe went for the Princess Elza (see what they did there?) black leather shoes, with 2 different charms or a bow to go with them.
They promise to be scuff resistant, and I know Phoebe will be putting them to the test, she scuffed last year’s ones within the first week of school I remember. I’m hoping these will last a long time. They have plenty of growing room too. On the bottom of the shoes are grips in the shape of hearts, and inside there’s an ice princess.
They come in half sizes and 3 different width fittings, you can buy online as there’s a size guide, or go and get your child measured. Th ankle has padding around it for extra comfort & support, plus there’s a breathable lining which has a removable insoles to keep feet fresh.
I know Phoebe is going to be super proud of her new shoes, she’s already been playing with the charms and seeing which looks best, planning out her week according to which look she’s going to go for! A fashionista in the making for sure.

They look great and I know they’ll last well as we normally get Startrite shoes too. They are great for Ava as she has narrow feet and they always fit best xx
