Breakups are an integral part of life and there is no adult person in the world who hadn`t gone through this unpleasant experience at least once in their lifetime.
Breakup pain stimulates the same part of the brain as physical pain, so it does hurt, and sometimes a lot. But, life goes on and everything happens for a reason. Eventually, you will come to terms with the truth and move on into a new and happier life, with luggage of experience in one hand, and great hopes in the other.
Whether you are the “villain” or the “victim” in the story, you will still need a glass of good wine in the following days. Wine calls forth emotions, and there are some wines which are more suitable for specific occasions than others.
Below you can find your glass of fine that will make you feel better.
Oaked Champagne
When one door closes, another one opens. Yes, it might sound like a cliché right now, and the last thing on your mind is thinking about new beginnings with totally new people, but the fact is, after giving you some time to come to yourself and accept the reality, you will eventually move on. Although Champagne is popular for celebrating new beginnings and happy occasions, you actually ARE celebrating a new beginning, a new life of freedom and unconditional self-love. The bubbly taste of mousse and soft flowers will act like a gentle ointment for your open wounds. Beautiful complexity, with fresh and citrus acidity, and a touch of nutty notes will remind you that after all life is good!
Rosé
Who says you need a large bouquet of roses when there is something much more attractive and pleasurable, fragrant and delicious treat like a glass of pale pink French Rosé. Yes, in a good bottle of Rose you will find a bouquet of amazing fragrances that will pamper your soul and remind you that heartache is not such a big deal when you have a bunch of good friends and a good bottle of wine. The yummy taste of ripe peaches and red berries, accompanied by the vibrant and breezy structure will make you feel the Mediterranean Sea in your glass, making you realize that you only live once, so make it worth it.
Brunello di Montalcino
In case you have made a terrible mistake and your other half wouldn’t forgive you, it`s still not the end of the world. But, everyone makes mistakes, as the famous author Steve Maraboli says “ We will make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.” So, grab a glass of your Italian beauty and enjoy the wonderful, multidimensional red wine with all its red fruit and Mediterranean flavours of herbs, leather and baked earth. Full-flavoured, with a velvety gentle texture, will please your soul in the most bitter moments.
Classic Cabernet Sauvignon
This is the perfect choice for long relationship breakups, when you need time for yourself, alone, to accept the harsh reality of moving on alone, when just yesterday you had so many plans for the future together. For this occasion, you need an intense, full-bodied Cab that will release all of your trapped emotions, after which you will feel relieved and down to earth. So, surrender to the rich and intense flavours of juicy dark fruits, spice and baked oak notes, followed by firm tannins and a long, lingering finish.
Syrah
They say Syrah was made to heal the broken heart and end the heartache. It has a rich, bold and unique taste and structure that can wake up or recover the asleep or lost self-confidence as a result of a bad or abusive relationship. You can feel the power running through your veins with the very first sip. So, for everyone who is facing an emotional downfall, disappointment or if someone hurt your self-esteem, a glass of this powerful wine will make you stand on your feet again.
Another powerful quote from Steve Maraboli says “Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.” And it couldn`t be more true. Finally, you can either drown yourself in your own sorrow or drown your sorrow in a glass of good wine. The second option is certainly much better.
