Big Gifts for First-Time Parents

Sharing is caring!

When new babies arrive, they are laden with gifts. Babygrows that are sized up until they are almost five years old. Adoring friends and family buy everything from dummies and blankets to rocking horses and plastic pianos.

It’s fun, it’s overwhelming, and it’s a massive display of how much the new baby is already loved and cherished.

In the last few years, things like push presents are becoming more prevalent. And with good reason – sure, the new baby is exciting – but the new parents can be left reeling.

Excitement, joy, terror, exhausting, confusion and losing track of what day it is. Of course, some parents take the whole thing in their stride.

So what about giving gifts to new parents – that is just for them? You might have to wait a short while so that the new parents can get into the swing of things, though.

Engraved watch

Having a watch engraved has long been a traditional gift for times of celebration. The back of the watch is usually big enough for a small message and date.

You could have the date and the weight of the new baby on the watch, and this gift world for any parent.

If you feel like being a little bit extravagant, you might consider something like a Rolex; this is even better for history fanatics since they have a long history, and you can even add a bit about the first Rolex watch.

Shiatsu massage

New parents are always getting themselves stuck in an awkward position to support a snoozing baby. It quickly leads to aches and pains across the shoulders and into the back.

Those tense muscles can bring on jaw tension, neck ache, and headaches!

Nightmare when you have a newborn. Not to mention that birth puts the body through it – new parents can be sore in muscles they didn’t even know they had.

While it isn’t practical to have a considerable shiatsu massage char delivered, there are portable shoulder, back and foot massage pads.

They aren’t too heavy, easy to store away and can loosen up muscles in no time.

Silk pillows

There are only so many days that you can have your hair tied up in a bun without it getting knotted up. However, silk pillowcases are the best thing to avoid knotted hair.

Not only that, but post-birth people often sweat a lot, getting rid of some of the extra water that pregnancy causes.

This breathable pillow can help to increase the amount of comfortable sleep they get. As a bonus, silk pillows are also supposed to help reduce wrinkles from sleeping.

Audible

While taking care of a newborn can involve lots of being busy and also some sleeping times, reading a book might not always be easy. Leaving a book upstairs and then the baby going to sleep on the parents might mean ages of just waiting.

Most people have their mobile phones handy at all times, so Audible can be the perfect way to pass the time.

Take care of the parents, and they’ll take care of the rest.
