I decided to get some laughter injected into the house, we have plenty already actually, there’s always some giggling going on, whether it’s Phoebe’s girly giggle, Daniel’s baby laugh or William’s infectious laugh. They always brighten my days if I’m feeling a little low and if they’ve been annoying me, a laugh together always works wonders. My husband has his annoyances but he makes me laugh, which always sets us straight again. If they don’t make you laugh, forget it. Daniel already has a well established sense of humour, and if he’s trying to be cross or he’s grumpy, I can give him a little look or play peek-a-boo and he’s smiling and laughing again.
Fufris the monkey
Let me introduce you to Fufris the monkey. The technology isn’t new, he reminds me of those Christmas toys you get. You squeeze his hand and he launches into fits of laughter, emits snorts (which sound like farts which is of course hilarious to kids) and rolls his head making his googly eyes roll. I must say, they love it! Daniel thinks it’s his new friend and gives him lots of cuddles and kisses. We as parents find his laugh a bit annoying, mostly when it’s brought to us at 6am and shoved, laughing, in my face. He comes in different colours, you can get blue like ours, brown and pink. He has a soft body with a hard battery compartment bottom that he sits on, and the eyes are stuck on with googly pupils. His ears are big so he hears everything, and he always has a smile on his face. You can squeeze the hand to start the laugh and it goes off when he’s finished, or you can squeeze it again to stop it.
