If you always end up doing the same thing on dates with your husband, here are some inspired ideas for you to shake things up a bit.

Have you and your partner got into a rut of going on the same old dates? While there’s nothing wrong with a meal or drinks in a restaurant or trips to the cinema, if you find yourself visiting the same old haunts every time you spend time together it might start to get a bit boring. Or, like me you prefer a night in but it’s always the same. Maybe you have the opposite problem, and a busy life means date nights are so rare when it comes to going out you’re always stumped and not really sure where to go. Either way, here are some ideas to help keep things interesting and allow you to spend quality time together.

A Meal with a Twist

Instead of the classic restaurant, why not try something different? If you’ve never tried Sushi give it a go, book a tasting menu and try the recommended wines with each course, it’s an eye opener. There are lots of themed restaurants that are fun and a talking point, or try one where they have opera singers or dinner theatre. If you want to stay in, why not team up with some friends and host a murder mystery dinner party? They’re great fun and you get to play a character.

A Spa Day

Massages, saunas, pampering treatments. There’s no better way to unwind than a day at a spa and even more so with your loved one by your side. You could make a whole day or weekend of it or just call in one afternoon or evening for a couple of treatments. Either way, it’s something a bit different and might be something you hadn’t thought to do. You’ll both come out feeling refreshed and revitalised!

Experience Dates

There are experience days and events for just about everything these days. So no matter what you and your partner are into you’re sure to find a fun way to enjoy it! It could be a trip on a steam train, a cheese and wine tasting event, a tour, this website even offers dinner on a boat on the Thames! If you search experience days for two, a whole host of ideas will come up, and chances are lots of them you would never have thought about. You might like to go to a concert such as Bad Bunny, you can get Bad Bunny tickets here. You can get experience days for all budgets, so there’s something for everyone, and there are often deals to be had.

Dance or Exercise

If you’re looking to get fit and have fun, why not kill two birds with one stone with a couples dance class?  It could be salsa, ballroom, tango or even street dancing! Have a look at what’s available and go with whatever suits you both as a couple. Even if you have two left feet, it’s still something that will give you a laugh, allow you to get close to your partner and enjoy a shared experience. A session in the gym doesn’t sound too romantic, but you could lace up your walking shoes and go on a scenic hike if the weather is good enough for it. We used to go on circular pub walks back in the day and they were always great fun.

Take a Class

Do you have a shared interest, or just want to try something new? How about a date that involves learning a new skill or trying out something you’ve never done before. It could be a craft like painting or pottery. You could learn about wine making or even learn a new language together! It could be a one-off lesson, or you could book up a course and go every week.

Do you have any fun date ideas that you like to do with your partner? Or do you always end up at the same old places?
