Lots of us consider renovating or refurbishing our homes as our family grows. We find we need more room, better storage solutions, or perhaps a child-friendly space. But hard working mums deserve a little indulgence from time to time. If you’re going to take the time, trouble and expense of a brand new kitchen or bathroom, why not add a luxury item or two to the list? Go on – you know you deserve it!
Bathroom
A new bathroom can be a pretty big job to take on. You may have a lot of disruption while it is being fitted. So with all that upheaval, why not make it a bathroom worth waiting for? When you pop along to bathroom companies like GW Supplies, it’s always worth checking the latest lines in new fittings. Change your radiator for chrome towel rail so you’re always warm and toasty out of the tub. You could also opt for a deeper bath tub with a whirlpool fitted. All those bubbles can massage a hard day away!

For the ultimate indulgence for less cost than you thought, why not install a bathroom TV? You can watch your favourite shows while you’re soaking. And if you pick one with a mirror finish, the kids need never know what it really is! Add a soft close toilet seat for those that need in the night. Now your bathroom is shaping up to be perfect for the hard working mum.
Living Room
When you’ve had a tough day at work and the kids have been restless, the sofa seems like the perfect retreat. Why not upgrade that sofa to a recliner with a built in massager? These chairs do need to be plugged into the mains, so you may be slightly restricted by where you can put it. But if you upgrade your TV to a large 4k smart tv with soundbar sound system, you can enjoy movie night in style! Of course, it may be a challenge keeping the kids off your chair when you want to use it! Perhaps a reading nook would be more your thing on a cold winter night?

Kitchen
Never enjoyed the toasty toe sensation of underfloor heating? Your kitchen refurb could be the ideal opportunity to have it every day. They can be electric or run from your central heating system. Basically, your entire floor becomes a giant radiator to warm the room and give that lovely comforting feeling on your bare feet. The electric system can be self-installed. And if you’re tired of looking at the dishes in the sink, it really is time to treat yourself to a dishwasher. It will spare your hands from the washing up bowl, and it will offer that extra hygienic clean for the family dishes.
Sauna
Lots of people convert wardrobes into en-suites. But why not turn it into a sauna room instead? It is believed they are very good for your health. They might be seen as a luxurious indulgence here but are common in family homes in Finland. Perhaps you have a little space in your home for a little ‘me’ time?
